HARRIS NAMED ED BLOCK AWARD RECIPIENT

S Corey Harris, in voting by his teammates, has been named the Ravens� 2001 Ed Block Courage Award recipient. Harris, who took over as starting strong safety this season, has been dealing with the illness of his wife, Ann, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor last August. Corey typically flies to his Nashville home on Mondays and Tuesdays to be with Ann, who has been undergoing treatment for her illness.
Corey leads the team with four recovered fumbles, and is tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles. The award is named after former Baltimore Colts� trainer Ed Block, and honors players who have overcome obstacles and have displayed significant courage and dedication to the game.
