The Baltimore Ravens today signed DE Marques Douglas off the New Orleans'practice squad. Douglas spent 1999 on the Ravens' practice squad and most of this season on the Saints' practice squad. To make room for Douglas, the Ravens placed DE Michael McCrary (knee) on injured reserve.

Originally signed as a rookie free agent on 4/23/99 by the Ravens, Marques was activated for the final two games of the '99 season, was released after training camp by Baltimore (8/28/00), then claimed on waivers by the Saints. He played in one game for New Orleans last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury in practice that resulted in being placed on injured reserve for the year. He was signed to the Saints' practice squad this season (9/4/01) prior to the regular season opener.

The 24-year old Howard University graduate is 6'-2", 270 lbs. He played in the World League for the Rhein Fire in the spring of 1999 and finished second in the league with nine QB sacks. Douglas will wear uniform number 94 for
Baltimore.
