GLEN BURNIE RAVENS FAN WINS “KEYS TO THE GAME” CONTEST

Friday - 12/21/2001

Richard Pangle of Glen Burnie, MD is the grand-prize winner of the Baltimore Ravens/Mile One “Keys to the Game” contest. As the grand-prize winner, Richard will have the chance to kick a field goal for a Mercedes Benz SLK during the December 23rd Fan Appreciation Day game half time. The Ravens, in conjunction with Mr. Tire, will also set up a stack of tires behind the goal post; if the ball goes in the tires, Richard will also win $1 million.

Ravens fans entered to win at various Mile One locations in Maryland. On December 14, 2001, the Ravens selected 5 finalists. Each finalist was given a key, with only one being the key that would start the engine to the Mercedes. On December 18th, Richard Pangle chose the winning key and practiced his kicking technique with Ravens Kicker, Matt Stover.

The other four finalists won prizes as well. Albert Rode Jr. of Baltimore won an all-inclusive trip for 2 to the Pro-Bowl in Hawaii. Kim O’keeffe of Pasadena won an all-inclusive trip for 2 to a Ravens away game in 2002. The third finalist, Helyn Adler of Baltimore, won 2 2002 season tickets. And Warren Cavanaugh of Columbia won 4 club seats and 4 VIP sideline passes to the 2002 home opener.
