AN EVENING WITH BRIAN BILLICK

Thursday - 6/9/2001

Brian Billick, head coach of the World Champion Baltimore Ravens, served as the keynote speaker at an event entitled An Evening with Brian Billick held last night at the Living Classrooms Foundation.

In 1985, Living Classrooms was founded in Baltimore, Maryland. The Living Classrooms Foundation is a non-profit organization that operates for the benefit of the community at large. The Foundation prides itself on providing hands-on education and job training with a special emphasis on at-risk youth from diverse backgrounds. With a 1:5 staff-to-student ratio, the teachers render extra guidance while providing the students with experienced-based educational programs. The applied learning of math, science, language arts, history, economics and ecology are emphasized. Career development, cooperative learning, community service, elevating self esteem and fostering multicultural exchange are the key objectives of the Foundation.

Attendees of the event had their picture taken with Coach Billick and the Super Bowl trophy.
A number of Ravens players were in attendance for An Evening with Brian Billick including: Shannon Sharpe, Duane Starks, Elvis Grbac, Chris Redman, Kyle Richardson, Mike Flynn, Femi Anaybadejo, Travis Taylor, Patrick Johnson, Matt Stover, Gary Baxter, Anthony Mitchell, Brad Jackson, Casey Rabach, Jermaine Lewis, Todd Heap, Qadry Ismail and Brandon Stokley. They signed autographs and showed their Super Bowl rings to the audience.

All proceeds from An Evening with Brian Billick will support the many different job-training and empowerment programs of The Living Classrooms Foundation
