Moving ever so close to the beginning of the 2001 regular season, we are going to take a well-deserved rest this weekend. Our practices resume on Monday at the Owings Mills training facility and I am looking forward to our last preseason contest against the Giants next Friday at noon. We had to address the business side of the game today by waiving four rookie free agents, WR Eric Chew, QB Tim Hasselbeck, RB Derek Homer and K Brian Kopka. It definitely isn�t the brightest side of our business, but hopefully those young men will have opportunities to pick up with another team. We�ll make more roster moves next week and then make our final roster adjustments by September 2nd. The journey is on the horizon and our team is looking forward to facing the challenges that await us as reigning champions.
